Mission Statement

VFW Post 5555 will educate and support Veterans of Foreign Wars by providing a fraternal, patriotic, and historic environment for Veterans and their families by being an unwavering light for the long term.

The purpose of the VFW

The veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States began in 1898, after the Spanish-American War. The VFW is the oldest major veterans service organization in the United States with nearly three million members.

The U.S. Congress charters the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Each VFW Post is a 501c 19 non-profit corporation. VFW Post #7´s non-profit corporation status is on file at the Minnesota Secretary of States Office.

Preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members to assist worthy comrades. Perpetuate the memory and history of our dead, and to assist their widows and orphans. Maintain true allegiance to the government of the United States of America. Fidelity to its Constitution and Laws. Foster true patriotism. Maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom and preserve and defend the United States from all her enemies, whomsoever.
